Where Sleeping Dogs Lie

So we’ve all heard the old saying let sleeping dogs lie. But lots of humans ask me about where there sleeping dogs should lie. As it’s the holiday season I bet there are more than a few owners wondering what kind of dog bed to get their best pal for the New Year. So here’s the skinny from me…

Dog beds come in many types of styles, shapes and sizes. A dog bed provides your pet with comfort, warmth, support and a great place to catch a few zzzs after a romp in the back yard. Designed to raise your dog’s body from the ground, different beds are designed for the various stages of your pet’s life (i.e. from little pups to loyal elders). From waterproof dog mats for your puppy’s kennel (I of course never needed that), to outdoor beds for the active dog (my sister Moomba for example), to therapeutic beds for senior pets there is sure to be a style for you and your pet’s needs.

My sister Moomba, bro Chauncey and cousin Lucy are big time fans of the semicircle bed. They like the fluffy comfort and the backing to rest their heads when they are trying to act like they are not really sleeping. My pal Chewy’s girlfriend likes the dog beds that are shaped like furniture. J La has her own princess sofa bed. All I know is its very pink.

Take the time to think about where your dog likes to sleep and how they sleep (i.e. tight curled chihuahua or sprawling spaniel) and don’t be afraid to pull out a few bigger bills from the wallet…your dog deserves a good place to rest after guarding your house and showering you with unconditional love all day.

Sweet dreams and paws out!

Zack
