GDay Mate

It's Moomba here, Zack's first guest blogger (oh and sister but he hate's to admit that part). So one major difference between us siblings is my love for water. Zack views water only as the thing that goes in a elegant water dish and occassionally it can be scented to with some bath suds to make him smooth and clean.

Moomba at Raven Bear Ranch 2004

I on the other hand am from the Outback. A true Aussie girl who loves fun, adventure and the outdoors (no this is not a personals ad). When I was a mere 8 weeks old I got to hang out with my now best pals, a group of Labradors at Raven Bear Ranch. Raven Bear Ranch is true paradise for any dog. It's 10 acres with a pond (aka Lake for us pups), pool and bright shiny stars at night.

At Raven Bear Ranch you can run with the pack, chase your tail for miles, herd goats, play fetch for hours in the water or just lay under a bush or tree for a super sweet afternoon nap. It's heaven on earth for us dogs and even Zack can find a Zen state there.

The Raven Bear Ranch Bridge of Tranquility

Okay so before I get you all too excited about Raven Bear Ranch I should mention it's private property owned by my Aunts Dori and Jill. So for now unless you know them you'll have to live vicariously (I know big word for a pup) through me.

Now back to my story.

Pool time at Raven Bear Ranch

So when I was just a wee pup I learned how to swim there with the help of my friend Raven (yup one of the other dogs is named Bear) and I've been a water dog ever since. Which is pretty uncommon for an Aussie.

Dog Paddle Supreme

So for the past two years I've been BEGGING (yes we are good at that ) for a pool at my house. And I'm happy to say my day in the sun and pool has finally come.

We are in the process of converting our little backyard into a tropical paradise including pool, spa, BBQ island, an outdoor room on our deck and lots of awesome tropical plants. A slice of heaven for any dog.

Things of course are moving slower than I like but if you are interested in following the progress and can't wait until I convince Zack to let me write another blog entry then check out our backyard blog at http://balihastings.blogspot.com/.

Well time to go chase a ball...thanks Zack for letting me get a shout out!

Paws Out and Tails Bobbed!

Moomba
